Alexander McQueen has won the British Designer of the Year Award four times (1996, 1997, 2001, 2003), as well as the CFDA Designer of the Year (2003). Known for his shocking designs, and radical ideas Alexander McQueen is one of the most interesting designers out there. He began his career at the young age 16. In 1996, McQueen was hired to head the design team at Givenchy which lead him to his own line in 2001. He launched his own label “Alexander McQueen” and has been one of the leading designers since.
